Big Sky just introduced its second most shocking cliffhanger: There’s no new episode next week. That’s right, Big Sky is on hiatus once again.
This isn’t the first time ABC’s much-discussed drama has taken a mid-season break. After airing its first five episodes Big Sky took a six week break before reassuring us that, yes, John Carroll Lynch’s Legarski actually survived. Wondering when Big Sky is coming back? We have you covered.
When Does Big Sky Return from Hiatus? When Will the Rest of of Big Sky Premiere?
A representative from ABC has confirmed to Decider that Big Sky will return in the spring. But that’s about all we know. The network hasn’t confirmed the exact date when the rest of Season 1 will premiere. So even though we’ll have to wait a bit, just know that more episodes are in fact coming in 2021.
When Is the Season Finale of Big Sky?
That’s another thing we don’t know. Since we don’t know the exact date when Big Sky will be returning, we don’t know when this season will end. We don’t even know if this hiatus will be the last. Big Sky already took a break from mid December to late January, and it’s about to take another one this February. It’s possible that after the series returns in spring it will take yet another break before its final batch of episodes. But you can bet we’ll be here reporting the second we know more.
How Many Episodes Are Left in Big Sky?
Altogether there will be 16 episodes in Big Sky’s first season. This news came after ABC gave the series an additional six episode order shortly after its premiere. At this point we’ve only seen the first nine, meaning there are still seven episodes left.
Will There Be a Big Sky Season 2?
ABC has yet to renew their breakout 2020 series for a Season 2. But that doesn’t mean it’s one and done. We still have a lot more episodes to watch, so there are a lot more opportunities to renew this one.
