Addison Rae is transitioning from TikTok star to musician — but not all fans are “Obsessed.”

Rae, 20, stunned fans on Friday by dropping her debut single, “Obsessed,” a self-love pop anthem that isn’t exactly getting tons of love.

“I’m so emotional right now,” she gushed to her 36.7 million followers on Instagram. “This song makes me feel so many things!!! I love music. that’s all.”

Rae said she has been working on music for the past year, and has involved herself in every step of the process, from songwriting to recording.

“From the beginning, I wanted to make sure that I was writing my own music,” she told Vogue in a recent interview. “I remember jotting down lyrics when I was little and trying to figure out how to make them a song, [now] I’m learning every detail and from amazing songwriters.”

Along with the new single, Rae released an accompanying music video that shows off her sultry TikTok dance moves with lyrics that promote self confidence: “I’m obsessed with me as much as you / Said you’d die for me I’d die for me too/ And if I lost you, I’d still have me, I can’t lose,” she sings in the chorus.

“Obsessed” draws from Rae’s experiences as the second-most followed star on TikTok and learning to “accept” herself given all the public attention.

“One could take it as being vainly obsessed with yourself, but that’s not what I’m trying to communicate,” she told Vogue. “It’s more I can love myself as much as you love me, and that’s important.”

But the Twitter masses seem to have mixed feelings about the new bop.

“ADDISON RAE RANDOMLY JUST DROPPING A SONG PLS ….. NO MORE TIKTOKERS TRYING TO START A SINGING CAREER,” one tweet read, alluding to fellow TikTok star Dixie D’Amelio’s recent collab with Liam Payne.

Unfortunately for the haters, this isn’t the last time Rae will soak up the limelight. The $5 million-net-worth star is set to appear in “He’s All That,” the remake of the 1999 teen comedy, “She’s All That.” The film will reimagine the plot from a teenage girl’s perspective, with Rae taking on a role inspired by Freddie Prinze Jr.’s character, Zack Siler, from the original.
