In Pinoborough’s book, single mom Louise lives in London, and on a rare night out, connects with a good-looking stranger at a bar. After one kiss, she arrives at her new job the next day to find that this man is also her boss, David. And married, at that.
Of course, it’s not as simple as forgetting about their attraction, and Louise is drawn into a bizarre love triangle when she also befriends David’s wife. But what makes this book worth reading is how it shifts from one story to something completely different as you twist and turn through the pages. And yeah, there’s that ending.
In fact, the novel Behind her Eyes was marketed with its own hashtag, #WTFThatEnding. So if you’re looking for a compelling, sexy, terrifying story based on manipulation and mind games, it’s worth the read.
