They’re Hollywood’s newest little pals.
Mandy Moore’s baby boy August and Hilary Duff’s new daughter Mae recently had a playdate — but as is the norm with baby get-togethers, one of the infants was left in tears.
“When August met Mae: a love story for the ages,” Moore jokingly captioned a snapshot on her Instagram Story that shows Mae crying as August looks the other way.
The “Younger” star also shared the pic and wrote, “On the look out for a fall and winter friend…,” riffing on Mae and August’s seasonally inspired names.
Moore, 37, and Duff, 33, have been pals for some time. The “This Is Us” star’s husband, musician Taylor Goldsmith, even performed at Duff and Matthew Koma’s 2019 wedding, according to E! News.
Perhaps Duff, a mother of three, gave first-time mom Moore some parenting advice during their hangout.
The “Candy” songstress and Goldsmith, 35, welcomed baby August, who is nicknamed Gus, in February, while Duff, and Koma, 33, celebrated Mae’s arrival in March. Duff and Koma are also parents to 2-year-old daughter Banks Violet, and she has a 9-year-old son named Luca from her marriage to Mike Comrie.
After baby Gus’ arrival, Moore detailed her “harrowing” and extremely painful birth experience, when her plans for a home birth went awry and she ended up delivering at a hospital.
Duff had home water births with her two younger children.
