Jill Martin’s favorite childhood gift is one that she still owns today.
The “Today” show’s “Steals and Deals” host told Page Six Style that back in the ’80s, she just “had to have” a Cabbage Patch Kid doll as a holiday present.
“My Aunt Audrey waited in line all night to get me a Cabbage Patch Kid doll as they were getting a new shipment,” Martin, 44, recalled.
“And I, of course, had to have one. I still have that doll to this day.”
As a grownup, Martin’s holiday wishes have changed. This year, she’s asking her mother for a Ring Video Doorbell (models begin at $99.99).
“I am not a ‘stuff’ person, but I get so many deliveries, hosting ‘Steals and Deals’ from home. There is constantly action at the door!” she explained.
Though Martin is always receiving packages from different companies, she is doubling down on supporting small businesses this holiday season. That’s why she’ll be giving out candles from the female-owned Harlem Candle Company as stocking stuffers.
“The candles have beautiful, interesting notes, and represent different times and places in history,” she said.
Of course, the G.I.L.I. founder will also be giving her family the gift of warm this holiday season with her collection’s The Lounger Oversized Sherpa Hoodie (currently sold out, but normally $47.48).
“I am declaring sherpa and sequins the holiday attire of the season!” she said. “Comfy and cozy!”
