What’s the difference between slow starters Francisco Lindor and this handicapper? About $341 million. Ready to turn it around, Mr. Lindor?
The Dunedin Blue Jays play host to the Bravos this weekend. Atlanta’s Drew Smyly (0-1, ERA 7.20) hasn’t had much to smile about. Smyly has allowed 12 runs in his 15 innings of work over three starts. The Jay’s Robbie Ray (0-1, ERA 2.81) is rounding to form. Comes off a solid start in Tampa where he fanned nine in six innings but left with a no-decision. A step in the right direction after a pair of “wild thing” starts saw him issue nine walks in 10 innings. Not sure anyone in Dunedin knows who George Springer is but his return to the Jays lineup should give them a spark. Play 20 units on the Blue Jays.
Down to their last out the Yankees tied the game on Gleyber Torres’ ground-rule double (that ball had to bounce over the wall, didn’t it?) but the Orioles won the game 4-3 in dramatic fashion (a walk-off sac fly) in 10 innings. Down -922 posadas.
